Here's the assignment sheet of my unit two.

Some thoughts about how it could incorporate a digital medium more effectively:

• Rather than having an essay as a final product, have the students make a blog, a website, a Facebook group, etc. 
• Along with that previous point, require students to work in more visual mediums--incorporate audio/video clips from the interviews, pictures from the building search, and other images collected from online.
• Rather than focusing so much on in-person interviews, have email interviews as more of an option. I'm hesitant to do this because I'm afraid students would view it as the easy way out and not extend themselves. But then again, it would have benefits of having text to work with rather than a transcription or notes, which can be flawed. Oooh, maybe have the student interviews as online, then the professional one in person.
